Background
Velocity42 is a strategically located 20-acre site within the Park Farm Industrial Estate in Redditch, aimed at leasing units of up to 92,525 sq ft to potential tenants. The developer, St Francis, sought to effectively market the property to attract new tenants amidst the competitive landscape heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic. Having previously collaborated with Sky Revolutions, St Francis recognised our capabilities in utilising aerial film and graphics for impactful property marketing.

Project requirements
The project aimed to achieve the following objectives:
- Showcase the Velocity42 site to attract prospective tenants and fill the available units.
- Utilise innovative marketing techniques that adapt to the restrictions posed by the COVID-19 outbreak, which made traditional property viewings more challenging.
- Create a comprehensive marketing film that includes aerial and indoor footage, emphasising the building’s features and layout.
- Ensure that the marketing material was high-quality and visually appealing for use in presentations and events.
Â
Methodology
To meet the project’s requirements, Sky Revolutions implemented the following methodology:
Planning and coordination:
- Collaborated closely with St Francis to understand their vision and the key selling points of Velocity42.
- Conducted site visits to plan the aerial footage and identify the best angles and perspectives for capturing the property.
Aerial filming:
- Deployed drones to capture original aerial footage, providing a bird’s-eye view of the entire site, including its layout and context within the industrial estate.
- Filmed ultra high-definition aerial footage showcasing the building’s features, roof details, and surrounding area to enhance tenant interest.
Indoor aerial footage:
- Utilised drones to capture indoor footage, allowing prospective tenants to explore the unit’s interior without needing to visit physically. This feature proved particularly valuable during the COVID-19 restrictions, enabling a safer viewing experience.
Content creation:
- Integrated existing imagery and film footage with the newly captured aerial content to create a cohesive narrative for the marketing film.
- Developed graphics to highlight key features, unit-specific details, branding, maps, and site plans, ensuring a comprehensive overview of the property.
Final production:
- Compiled all footage and graphics into a polished marketing film that showcases Velocity42 in an engaging and informative manner.
- Ensured the final product was suitable for presentation at property marketing events, designed to be displayed on large screens.
Â
Results
The resulting property marketing film successfully:
- Provided potential tenants with an immersive experience of the Velocity42 site, enhancing their understanding of the available units and their features.
- Improved the marketing effectiveness during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering a safe alternative to in-person viewings.
- Elevated St Francis’s marketing efforts, contributing to increased interest in leasing the units.
