Project Overview
The Medebridge Solar Farm in Essex is a 71 MWp installation, equivalent to powering clean energy to over 26,000 homes annually and offsetting more than 13,500 tonnes of CO₂ each year. To support the site during construction, DWD Renewables engaged Sky Revolutions to provide expert surveying and visual monitoring across multiple build phases.
What We Delivered
High-Precision Setting Out
Using detailed design drawings, our survey team laid out over 500 control points per day covering pile locations, inverter pads, trenches, and panel zones. This precision prevented layout errors and ensured a smoother build, especially on a complex multi-field solar layout.
Drone Progress Filming
We flew aerial missions at key construction intervals, producing short films that gave stakeholders a clear, top-down perspective of progress. These visuals were essential for internal reporting, external updates, and coordinating multiple site teams without disruption.
Long-Term Timelapse Monitoring
Fixed-position timelapse cameras were installed at strategic vantage points to continuously document every stage of construction. The resulting high-resolution footage now serves as both an archival record and a compelling visual narrative of the build from ground up.
