Sky Revolutions can now fly at night
For UAV companies, the first step to becoming a qualified and licensed UAV operator is by applying through the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which grants permission for aerial work. What is less common however, is the permission from the CAA to operate UAVs at night simply because of increased risks such as reduced visibility.
To qualify for night flights, a UAV operator needs to satisfy the CAA in regard to competency and adhere to strict regulations. Hence, authorised operators are not granted night flying permissions as standard and have to apply for night flight exemptions separately.
Sky Revolutions are therefore pleased to announce that we have now received permission for night flights. This means that we are now able to operate our drones 24 hours a day, allowing for greater flexibility for a range of aerial surveying and photography projects.
