Halsall Church

Spire Survey

Our client – a loss adjuster – requested a church spire inspection at Halsall Church in Lancashire. The spire had been damaged during very high winds and the lightning protection straps had come loose. In addition, the stone finial at the top of the spire had dislodged presenting a potential hazard.

Sky Revolutions completed the survey with a commercial-spec drone fitted with a high-resolution camera, allowing a high level of zoom for close inspection. The resulting images allowed our client and other stakeholders to clearly see the extent of the damage.

The job was completed quickly and safely with no issues. We quickly provided a set of photographs to help ensure rapid remediation decisions could be made. The whole process took place in a fraction of the time that a manual inspection would have required, with very little safety risk.
